The life of a car - a 5G for Business journey
IoT is no longer just a concept — it’s a driving force enabling enhanced automation and processes across industry verticals. Take transport, for example, where use case innovations such as connected ports leveraging IoT can deliver on new shipping efficiency needs. Or look to the automotive industry, where IoT is there to guide the vehicle life cycle from production (complete with factory-standard connectivity enhancements), smart operation in vehicle-to-everything (V2X) cityscape scenarios, and even to its final moments, where fully automated vehicle recycling plants generate a green life cycle ending.
Today, Ericsson is at the forefront of this IoT journey. Join us to learn more about our range of IoT products and services designed to help industries, service providers, and global vehicle manufacturers meet this new range of demands.
Ericsson Spectrum Sharing
Ericsson Spectrum Sharing is a technology breakthrough that enables operators to build their 5G network differently to any previous G. For the first time, operators can fully leverage existing investments in spectrum and infrastructure. ESS provides a way to build coverage with fewer new sites, in less time. Infrastructure savings can be invested in wider 5G coverage and increased capacity for new use cases and an enhanced end-user experience.
ESS bypasses the need for new or re-farmed spectrum, which many operators struggle to access. Instead, ESS software simply enables spectrum in existing 4G LTE Frequency Division Duplex bands to be dynamically allocated to 5G NR within milliseconds and according to demand. This allows operators to roll out 5G with minimal impact on existing user experience, while still increasing efficiency, boosting service assurance and greatly enhancing network performance and mobility.
5G live network experience
Today, Ericsson continues rolling out 5G networks around the globe, having been the first with 5G on four different continents. With these 5G live network deployments, Ericsson has gained unique knowledge and experience to help customers succeed in switching on the value of 5G.
Learn more about our global live 5G network cases, including service provider commercial launches, deployment strategies, our network solutions, service operator go-to-market strategies, and our abundant product offerings. Additionally, find out how we can evolve service provider networks beyond the initial 5G deployment in three key areas: expanding coverage, boosting performance, and introducing Standalone network architecture.
Enterprise and business communication

Ericsson Operations Engine - AI & automation
Last year we launched the Ericsson Operations Engine, our vehicle for Data Driven and AI powered Optimization and Operations. It’s been a great year – our first time ever R&D budget in Managed Services resulted in multiple AI patens dedicated for MS and over 40 AI Use Cases, of which 18 are alAvailable deployed in customer networks. In Operations, we have made a bet on Automation and AI and we see it is paying off. A recent Operations customer insights report shows our customers working in Operations view themselves as heavily involved in the cost efficiency agenda, but what is NEW is that they also see themselves as central to delivering on customer experience. And to achieve this fine balance of keeping the cost down, while increasing the customer experience, a the same time managing the today's complex networks with growing demands that we see in network of tomorrow – AI is not nice to have, it is a must. We did our homework, automated our ways of working, tools and processes. Now with AI we are Available to manage the complexity and become truly predictive and preemptive in operations.
5G powered safe factories
5G URLLC (Ultra-reliable, low-latency communication) represents a remarkable breakthrough in cellular IoT technology to address extreme time-critical connectivity requirements, that are not supported by any other wireless technology and opening new business opportunities for service providers.
Join us for a live demo of 5G URLLC to find out more on how it can power a real-life industrial automation safety control use case for automotive production with Audi. The connectivity we are demonstrating is what is needed in order to replace cables by wireless connectivity in automation solutions.
