Deep learning has revolutionized AI, but it has also proven an extremely data hungry technology. Manually labelled training data is becoming prohibitively costly and time-consuming, creating a challenge to companies eager to embrace deep learning technology. Danny Lange will explain why he sees this challenge more as an opportunity. By leveraging real-time 3D video game technology to generate practically infinite amounts of synthetic training data, we can accelerate the AI evolution. He will delve into the background and benefits of interactive large-scale synthetic data generation.
"Gaming is already mainstream entertainment with mobile, casual, and social as the main growth drivers. Mobile gaming is the biggest and fastest-growing segment in gaming, fueled by billions of touch-screen natives who have never owned a game console or played games with a PC.
One of the biggest trends in the gaming industry is cloud gaming. The on-demand consumption model that happened with music and TV, is now starting to happen in gaming. 5G is the perfect technology to bring cloud gaming to the majority of gamers who spend their time with casual and mid-core mobile games.
Hatch is the world’s only “made-for-5G” cloud gaming platform that is tapping on the megatrends in gaming: mobile, casual, and social. We are already working with major operators and OEMs to offer a new and better way for people to enjoy next-generation cloud-based gaming experiences with novel social features."
Hear from Todd Greene, Founder and CEO of PubNub, as he shares industry insight on how to make applications 5G Ready. The promise of 5G and Edge is only realized when app developers are leveraging these emerging
technologies.
Unfortunately, most app developers are still building N-tiered apps that will not benefit from 5G and edge. Todd will talk about bridging this gap, and how to make it easy for apps to leverage the edge. By facilitating event-driven, realtime app development, PubNub has enabled thousands of high scale companies to deliver realtime apps that will truly benefit from 5G and Edge without requiring complex infrastructure or specialized development teams.
"Imagine a virtual workplace that automatically changes depending on what you need to do, by giving you an editing pen and a big display when you need to do video retouching, or a haptic keyboard and an extra side screen with a thesaurus when you need to write a report. Also, imagine that by 2030 it is becoming common to have a lifestyle involving working and socializing totally in virtual realms without ever physically leaving home. Further, imagine that technology could enable a full internet of senses. vision, audio, touch smell, and taste, including the ability to digitally communicate thoughts by 2030. This is part of the Ericsson Research vision we call this The Internet of Senses. The Internet of Senses will be enabled by technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), 5G, and automation.
Consumers predict that by 2030 screen-based experiences will increasingly compete with multisensory ones that will be almost inseparable from reality. Beyond visual and audio we will be able to touch, feel, and even smell and taste things digitally. In this session, Dr. Pernilla Jonsson, Head of Consumer and IndustryLab at Ericsson Research will walk us through what more than 14,000 early tech adopters and white-collar workers see and the next digital revolution. The internet of senses — a future which may be closer than you think!"
The purpose of this session is not to raise money but to get the story out to ecosystem companies and customers who may have use for your product and technology. Guy Kawasaki and Jan Söderström will be commenting on the pitches. We will focus on the offering story and the evangelizing aspects of the pitch as well as the applicability to the 5G (or 4G) business/networks.
See how 5G and science fiction converge in this conversation between AT&T Chief Product and Platform Officer, Mo Katibeh and award-winning science fiction writer and futurist Ken Liu. From virtual tourism to revolutionary work with healthcare, Mo and Ken will discuss how 5G is changing the world for good.
In this session, Mr. Harris will discuss how advances in GNSS positioning technology make it possible to deliver centimeter-level accuracy to autonomous, mobile and IoT mass-market applications. Standard GNSS delivers position at about 3-5 meters of accuracy. High-precision GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System—including GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou and QZSS) delivers accuracy at the centimeter level. Swift’s precise positioning service delivers wide-scale precision across continents with submeter accuracy. Swift’s precise positioning technology has been standardized into 3GPP version 16 and can be integrated both into Mobile Network Operator platforms and as an application programming inte
